Road safety - Partnership work with South Derbyshire District Council |
Keeping local villages safe is a key priority for Mercia Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT), with officers carrying out targeted activity to tackle concerns raised by residents.
Your local officer had a busy shift dealing with road safety incidents yesterday, (Friday 30 January).
Working closely with South Derbyshire District Council, police identified an abandoned tipper van that had been left unattended and causing concern to big-hearted locals. After inquiries were made, a 7-day notice was issued to the owner, ensuring the vehicle is either removed or dealt with appropriately. This joint approach helps keep roads and public spaces clear, safe and free from unnecessary hazards.
